- Templates give your presentation a professional look without creating
all the design elements yourself.
- Templates can include:
- styles/sizes of fonts,
- bullets,
- placeholders and positions,
- background designs,
- color schemes,
- a slide master and optional title master

- Format menu, Slide Design or
- From the Task Pane on the right side,
- select from the New category, From Design Template or
- select from the New From Template, any of those options
- General Templates – provides you with a listing of templates on your
computer
- Templates on office.Microsoft.com – links you to the Microsoft website
where there are numerous templates available.

- In slide show view
- B = blank screen
- W = white screen
- Type the slide number and Enter will take you to the specific slide
- F5 will start the presentation at the beginning
- To advance the screen, use the enter key, click with the mouse, use the
up/down arrows
- To exit the slide show, Esc

- Don’t read the screen
- Avoid too much text on a screen
- Use graphics
- Offer handouts before/after
- Practice, practice, practice
- Have multiple copies of the presentation available in case of technical
difficulties: paper, disk, laptop, etc.
